Removal Care
Before
Procedure:
- If
you usually take baths, take showers instead for one week prior to the
procedure.
After
Procedure:
- You
will be able to shower 24 hours after the procedure.
- Elevate
your foot for the first 12 - 24 hours to reduce swelling and pain. What
to expect after the procedure:
- Your
toenail may ooze blood for 12 to 24 hours after the procedure.
- Toe
will have a black discoloration caused by the chemical used to kill
the nail.
- Keep
foot clean and dry.
- Wear
loose sandals or loose fitting shoes. The idea is not to have anything
tight or pulling around your toes.
